“We met when we were allocated to each other as flatmates in student accommodation in our first year. Being friends came easy, and we chose to keep on living together after our contract was up. It’s an ideal living arrangement. We get each other through stressful times – doing crazy stuff like having banana fights when exams are on.
I can be impulsive, and if not for Jo (right), I would probably be in jail! We get along despite our differences. We have completely different taste in music, for example, and that’s a big one! We talk a lot about politics. Jo is from the Czech Republic and her take on Socialism was quite different from mine initially. But our political views have started becoming more similar now.”
