“We have known each other nearly ten years now, so it makes sense that it was her I thought to call in my moment of need.”

Do you have any funny/embarrassing stories that you feel also strengthened any female bonds in your lives?

[Left] “Oh, we have a recent one! This was back in March when I was in Dundee, and was supposed to get a train into Glasgow Queen Street for my sister to pick me up and take me to the airport; I had to catch a flight to Ireland. But I was hungover that day, and the people I was with insisted on getting Tesco meal deals, and I missed my train. I remember I had just thirty minutes within which I needed to get into the train station to be able to reach the airport on time. My sister could only pick me up at a certain time – which I missed – so I called Amy [right] up in panic. And she was in a lecture that she couldn’t miss because she had exams coming up, but she called up her mum – and her mum saved the day! I think that makes for a funny but special story.”

[Right] In hindsight!

[Left] Yes, in hindsight! (laughs) It was terrifying at the time. Also, I think it is relevant because it’s her mum who stepped in. We have known each other nearly ten years now, so it makes sense that it was her I thought to call in my moment of need.”
