A space to explore, challenge, and celebrate the female bond
Swara Shukla was born and raised in Noida, India. She discovered her love for reading and writing fiction as a student of BA (Honours) English at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi. In September 2016, she flew in to Glasgwegian lands to
pursue the MLitt in Creative Writing at University of Glasgow.
She sees fiction as a potent medium for initiating discourse on socio-political issues dominating the Indian landscape, and aims to achieve this as a short-story writer and novelist.
She has been published in DU Love by Vigilante Publications, her college-based journal Jabberwock, and Qmunicreate. She is currently on the editorial team of From Glasgow to Saturn – a literary journal based out of University of Glasgow.
She works as Editorial Team Consultant at HMP, and serves as Curator/Photographer for its photo-series: Women of Glasgow.
